In this programme, Ambi speaks about the emotional charge that fuels her practice as a Malagasy visual artist: from the hypnotic observation of the bushfires of her childhood in Madagascar to the transformation of that flame into a unique medium of writing and visual composition. Fire, a true guiding thread running through her contemporary work, becomes in her hands a privileged means of reinventing landscape and raising awareness of environmental preservation and the fight against deforestation.
