Expressions and Testimonies from Malagasy Women for International Women’s Day, 8 March 2009

Article de presse : Expressions et témoignages, 2009 Expressions and Testimonies from Malagasy Women for International Women’s Day, 8 March 2009

Collective feature published for International Women’s Day, 8 March 2009

For International Women’s Day 2009, a collective feature brought together several women’s testimonies, including one from Ambi (Andriankajarivelo Ambinintsoa), visual artist. Line Pierne, president of the Femmes 3000 federation, contributed an editorial on women’s place in the world at the dawn of the third millennium. Ambi recounts her own path: her childhood in Antananarivo, her move to France in 2000, and then her move into visual arts. She also writes about her enthusiasm for pétanque, first as a player and then as a departmental referee, and her wish to one day put her skills to use for Madagascar. Marina Rafalihery, a lawyer and HR coach based in France since 1986, also shares her testimony on the journeys of Malagasy women entrepreneurs.

“Yes, women too have the right to succeed and to have their say…” (Ambi)
